The world's subway map can seem complicated at first glance, with colors, numbers, letters, and transfer notations varying from city to city. However, if you look at the order of departure station, destination station, transfer station, and travel direction, you can quickly read the necessary information on an unfamiliar route map.

Search from departure station and destination station

Rather than trying to read the entire route map at once, find your departure and destination stations first. If you follow which lines run between two stations, the number of transfers required and the direction of travel will naturally appear.

Check the route name without just looking at the color

Color helps with quick identification, but different cities may use the same color to group multiple services together or use similar colors. It is safe to make a habit of checking the route number, letters, name, and terminal station together.

Transfer stations are viewed based on actual travel.

Just because lines meet on the route map doesn't mean you always transfer at the same platform. In actual travel, priority should be given to station signs and operator guidance, but entering names before and after the transfer station through the game will help you remember the movement flow.

After looking at the route map, check it with the game

The reverse order you see is remembered more clearly when you type it out yourself. Look at a city's major stations and transfer stations on a route map, then try a typing game for the same city.
