In K-jihacheol's Steam version, even the same line plays completely differently across the three modes — Drive, Memory, and Race. Here's what makes each one unique, along with tips for each.

Drive Mode: The Basics of Learning a Route

Drive mode is the basic mode where you type the next station while viewing the map. If you're playing a city or line for the first time, it's best to start with Drive mode to get the overall layout into your eyes. Focus on finishing without a single typo, and you'll naturally be ready to move on to the next step: Memory mode.

Memory Mode: A Pure Test of Recall

In Memory mode, the map is hidden and you have to reach the terminus on recall alone. After a few runs in Drive mode, try Memory mode, and you'll likely get stuck on a section you thought you knew just from looking at it. Check the station you got stuck on with a hint, then try again on your next run — your time will drop noticeably.

Race Mode: A Real-Time Race Against an AI Engineer

Race mode pits you against a computer engineer in real time, with 3 difficulty levels. Start on a lower difficulty, and once you've built confidence in your typing speed and accuracy, move up. The tension of reaching the terminus before your opponent is a thrill you won't find in Drive or Memory mode.

Managing Records Across Modes

Best times, combos, and error-free runs are tracked separately for each line and mode. Even on the same line, setting separate goals for your Drive-mode record, your Memory-mode record, and the highest difficulty you've beaten in Race mode lets you enjoy a single route for much longer.
