Subway typing practice is a way to learn accurate typing habits and route order by using familiar station names. If you pick a route you are interested in, such as Lines 1 and 2, and repeat it, your goal will be clearer and it will be easier to stick to it than if you practice long sentences.

Which should we practice first, line 1 or line 2?

If there is a route you take frequently, that is the best starting point. For Line 1, it is better to set a direction and section and practice, and for Line 2, it is better to divide one lap into several sections by taking familiar reference points such as City Hall, Hongik University Entrance, Gangnam, and Jamsil.

You don't have to try to memorize the entire station perfectly from the beginning. Please enter accurately starting from sections that are connected to real life, such as from the departure station to the station you frequently get off at, or before and after the transfer station.

Tips for entering station names correctly

Station names are prone to typos due to long names, spaces, and similar names. Instead of trying to correct it quickly, enter steadily one letter at a time at first, and repeat frequently misspelled names with the preceding and following words.

It is also important to create a rhythm of thinking of the next station and entering it at once rather than just looking at the input window. If you speed up excessively, it is easy to lose memory, so reduce the time little by little based on accurate completion.

Maintaining records in short iterations

It is easier to find incorrect answers if you try the same route briefly two or three times rather than practicing for a long time once a day. We recommend that the first version check the order, the second version reduce typos, and the last version record the flow.

It's okay if your records don't suddenly increase. Being able to naturally enter stations that were previously blocked is itself an improvement in your skills, so check the changes in the incorrect sections along with the completion time.

Apply to other city routes

Once you become familiar with the Seoul route, you can expand your practice by choosing other cities such as Busan, Daegu, and Incheon. Each city has different route lengths and station name rhythms, so practicing typing in the same way feels new.

If you choose an overseas city, you will be able to access the local station name, which will help you prepare for your trip. However, actual operation information may change, so please check the official information on the day of departure after game practice.
