Prepare before you ride
Get a single-use ticket or rechargeable transit card, check its balance, and save your route and transfer station in a map app.
Find the line and direction
Match the line number and color, then look for a major station or terminal in your direction. Check the next station before boarding.
Transfer and choose the right exit
Follow the color and number of your next line. At your destination, use the saved exit number to emerge on the correct side of a large road.
Check the last train
Last-train times vary by day, direction, and final destination. Recheck your actual journey in an official source or map app before traveling late.
