About the 60-second station recall game
New York L Train: recall the 24 registered station names from 8th Avenue to Canarsie–Rockaway Parkway in any order. Each distinct name scores once.
A map you fill from memory
Unlike the typing game, which shows each station name, this challenge asks you to recall names yourself. Enter stations in any order. Think through a familiar commute or a past trip and test both your memory and typing speed.
Explore eleven cities, one line at a time
Choose Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, Daejeon, Tokyo, Osaka, New York or Taipei. Selecting a city opens its line choices. Start with one familiar line, then try the whole city. Only stations in the selected dataset count.
Which answers count?
Press Enter or Check to submit a name. Spaces, bracketed subtitles and common punctuation can be omitted. Local names, English names, kana and Korean spellings are accepted where supplied in the data. A repeated name or interchange scores once. Wrong answers do not subtract points.
The clock and the map
The sixty seconds begin when you press Start and continue even if you switch tabs. At the deadline, the game stops accepting answers. Correct stations appear on the map; crowded labels can also be read in the answer list. This map is a game display, not a route planner.
Ways to remember more stations
Start with a regular stop, then think of its neighbours, interchanges and terminal stations. Enter short, certain names first if longer names slow you down. For an unfamiliar overseas line, practise with the subway typing game before returning. Whole-city and individual-line records are kept separately.
Keep and share your record
Your best score is saved in this browser for each city and line. Review your stations, retry the same selection or share your score and game link. The link opens the same selection; it does not create a room that automatically collects your friends’ results.
Frequently asked questions
Is it free? Do I need an account or an app?
Play free in your browser without signing up or installing an app. Use a physical keyboard on a computer or the on-screen keyboard and Check button on mobile. The sound control lets you mute effects whenever you wish.
Will my records appear on another device?
Records stay in this browser and do not sync automatically to other devices. Clearing browser data removes them. The game still works when storage is blocked, but your best score may not persist.
Is there live multiplayer or a global leaderboard?
For now, play separately and share scores and links. There is no live match or official global ranking. Compare the same city and line for station recall, or the same language and date for the daily quiz.
Station recall by country
Recall stations from the existing New York lines. Start with familiar names that mix numbers, Street and Avenue. Use registered English or Korean forms; spaces, common punctuation and supported abbreviations are handled by the answer rules.
