From September 1, 2026, Seoul is directing users from the former Climate Card unlimited 30-day pass to Climate Pass, a Seoul-specific program built on the national Everybody Card. Do not make a new decision from an old Climate Card fare table alone.

Separate the former card from the current program

Climate Card was an unlimited pass centered on Seoul subways and Seoul-licensed buses, with exclusions such as Shinbundang Line, GTX, express/airport buses, and many stations outside Seoul.

Climate Pass now combines Seoul-specific benefits with the Everybody Card. Treatment of an existing card, balance, refund, and a new enrollment can differ, so read T-money and Seoul notices separately.

Climate Pass requires Seoul residence verification

Seoul describes Climate Pass for residents aged 19 or older whose registered address is in Seoul. It says Seoul-specific service is applied after K-Pass membership and Seoul residence verification.

The youth benefit has expanded to ages 19–39 for eligible Seoul residents. Check the actual category, cap, and start date in your account and the current notice.

Check card type and notices before switching

Mobile and physical Climate Cards worked differently, and available services depended on device type and card registration. Confirm whether your card can still be used as a transit card and whether exchange or registration is needed for your own card.

Old 30-day prices, bike options, and short-term tickets may be pre-transition information. Check the publication date and open the official notice before paying.
